EDITING
Please e-mail us via our "Contact Us" page, and we will provide a quotation based on your editing requirements. We will provide this within a few hours. Once the quotation has been accepted, we will edit the Word document you forward to us.
We offer both a Copy editing and Substantive editing service, as well as Proofreading and Cover Letter Preparation.
Editing will ensure the general readability of the document is improved.
It will also ensure a consistent style is employed throughout the manuscript.
We will correct any spelling, grammatical or punctuation errors and ensure the meaning is conveyed correctly.
Overall, a professional high standard of written English will be employed, paying particular reference to the biological and chemical understanding of the text.
Documents will be edited using the "Track Changes" tool in Microsoft Word where the edited text will be highlighted. An example is illustrated below:
Original text: The sample is dilute in acetonitrile and was injected in a HLPC. A wavelength of 280 nm is used for all samples. The results were used to make a concentratin time plot. The analysed show that sample A reached a high value around 12 minutes
Edited text: The sample was diluted in acetonitrile, and was injected onto a HPLC.[Please consider adding the HPLC name and model, the column name and dimensions that were used, the solvents that were employed, as well as the injection volume on column.] A wavelength of 280 nm was used for all samples. Results were used to construct a concentration time plot, and analysis indicated that sample A reached a maximum at approximately 12 minutes. Note: inserted text is highlighted in blue, while comments (which require the authors input), are highlighted in red. The changes will be easily visible to the author both on-screen and when the document is printed. The edited document will be returned to the author for consideration, and to check that the intended meaning is still clear. Any further questions can be forwarded to ChemBio Writing and Editing for discussion and clarification.
Editing will be carried out exclusively by the director, and the work will not be sub-contracted to other editors.
